figure at least about $850 to do the snow package correctly. Then it is simply a matter of deciding if you want to choose your times to go up north according to the weather forecast, or rent a car (or better yet, public transportation), or bite the bullet with the snows. The 17 inchers just plain suck in any kind of snow. Figure that rental car companies give great deals on weekends, like 50 bucks for 2 days, that's a lot of weekend trips before paying off the 850 on the snow package. Plus then you need to store the things which may not be easy in the big apple.

Good luck deciding, and stay out of the snow with those 17 inchers! unless of course you like great excitement, not all of the right kind.
