Octane is different in the US and Europe.
Europe uses RON - Research Octane Number. There is also Motor Octane Number (MON).
US uses the U.S. Cost of Living Council (CLC) Octane rating, which is the average of RON and MON. In Canada, seems to be called the Road Octane Number.
