When I went to the Gislaveds, 185/65/15, the pulling went away. The traction steer got worse if that's what you're talking about but only in the warmer weather. This year I waited until it was really cold and the OEM tires 205/50/16 would spin like crazy and just didn't stick.
I like the Gislaveds, except for the marshmallow road feel, but you need to stud them if you get them.
Many here like the Michelin Artic Alpins. You don't need to stud them. They're not as good as the Gislaveds in the deep stuff but are good on ice and drive like an all-season.
