I had no problem with the interior of the car. In fact, no problems at all; I was simply making a preemptive strike by trading it in. The leather and carpets were all tan. The seating remained extraordinary in its condition (I had it treated in a detail twice). I used some plastic mats on top of the VW carpeted floormats. Still, the mats would have needed replacement, but the underlying carpet was in excellent condition.
The wood, the sound system and all the electrical components were as new when I traded it in. Nonetheless, I just drove my new 93 home and there is no comparison between it and a 1.8 Passat. My new car has excellent speed, especially between 30 and 70, and corners far, far better than the Passat.
And, for what its worth, the signing of Bledsoe gave me the impetus to go out and get a pair of seasons tickets to Ralph Wilson stadium for the first time. Go Bills!!!
