Vince,
I'm sure there are some caring people at Roadside assistance. The first person I talked to got a tow truck to my car within an hour. The problem is that's really all they know how to do. There's no one there that can walk you through a problem, or answer ANY questions about the car. There also really seems to be a feeling transmitted from the group that Saab is just something extra that they deal with...that they are not Saab assistance they are GM assistance.
I've never cared that GM owned Saab...but it really appears to bother some of the GM folks.
A big issue for me is the safety of my wife when she is out in the car. I've got to know that if she calls for assistance someone is going to make sure she (and hopefully the car) can get to safety in a reasonable period of time and not just be left out on the road with a disabled car and the instruction to call another towing company and put in for reimbursement.
Anyway, my dealer apologized profusely today...told me that they are going to do their own 12 hour by 7 day service because all they have heard lately is complaints about poor service from GM Roadside Assistance.
As for the problems with the top I haven't heard from the dealer yet on what malfunctioned.
