I cruized from upstate NY to Philly easily. Not a 600 mile trip but it was effortless. They limit torque in 1st and 2nd, and even then it has tremendous power, but anywhere 3rd on its a dream. On one road i averaged about 110 mph cruizing right behind a passat(suprised how nice the passat was at high speeds as well, although i showed him what a real turbo can do one straight away~130+mph). I used the passat as my little shield against police. Going over 100mph feels like 60 in most other cars and i still got high 20's mpg. This was right before an oil change too, which would probably affect the mileage a little although im not sure. I noticed that i got the best gas milage at about mid 60's. I could have averaged about 34 mpg going about 65mph on the highway, but the car is too fun for just cruizing with the rest of the crowd. :-)
P.S. - I dont go that fast all the time, but oppurtunity knocked. I definatly dont recommend going that fast even with someone else in front of you to hopefully get pulled over instead of you. Just be careful if you do and good luck with the cops.
