I'm hoping I can get some insight from both perspectives...

I've been driving "stick" for most of my life. Now that I have a child and have toned down my lifestyle a bit - I am prepared to make the move to an Automatic Transmission :). Some of my friends tell me that I am going to regret it and wish that I had never converted.. others tell me that the 9-3 Automatic is superb an that I will love it.

BTW - I'm eyeing a used 1999 9-3

Any comments or relayed experiences is greatly appreciated
