I purchased a 99 9-3 in august w/18K miles. It now has 27K miles. I just bought the warrantygold 72 month, 100k total miles warranty, top of the line for $1900.
I have the peace of mind knowing that whatever goes wrong in the next 6 years will be covered.
This is my second saab conv. Had a 94 5 speed for 5 years, 55k. I plan on keeping this one and foresee the little problems alone adding up to $1900. If a major component goes, I win, if not, I still win.
Go for it and you'll be much happier.
