Many of these run welll beyond 100,000 miles. And when a O2 sensor CEL comes along, it can be from a bad sensor ground with a sensor that is otherwise in good working order. You have two sensors and replacing them will be expensive and may not change a thing.
MPGs
tire pressure
alignment (check tire wear patterns and toe-in)
dragging brakes - inspect them
plug gaps wrong or plugs fouled (gap to .035" and use NGK BPCR6ES11's)
injectors fouled (use Techron concentrate)
rings sticking (use Mobil One)
roof rack (take it off)
If the O2 sensor is not allowing the ECU to get to a state of fuel adaption, it will throw a CEL. Otherwise do not worry about the sensor.
Check your plug and use Techron Concentrate every 8K miles.
During startup the O2 sensor is not functional. The smell is the smell of fuel or stuff from the catalytic converter. Is this vehilce use for short or city service? Perhaps it just needs some highway miles to burn of the plugs and cat.
