as the one in Cortland closed, I think by GM action. South of the Fingerlakes, there in an indy mechanic in the Ithaca area who specializes in Saab, but I have not checked him out yet since I am still under warranty. Nicholas Pellegrino Saab Service, just south of Ithaca. I am in the Horseheads/Elmira area now, and lot of people here make the 50 mile trek to Forno's even after the warranty expires because they are just such straight forward and pleasant people, grateful too, to deal with. On the other side of Rochester, in Batavia, there is Batavia-Chrysler-Plymouth-Jeep. What? Yeah. When GM closed down the Oakfield Saab "Country Motors" Saab franchise (too small, like Cortland, I guess), their well respected mechanic Lindsey Frens went to BCPJ. BCPJ thereafter solicited the former Oakfield customers for Saab repair work. I have an attorney friend in Rochester, with a classic 900, who swears by Frens' expertise and reasonable prices, especially on the larger repair jobs that make the trip worthwhile. He believes that Saabs should go 200,000 miles as a matter of course.
