For what it's worth, he always joked that VWs kept him in business. He now owns a VW repair shop.
What did he drive?
A Saab! :)
I've owned a couple of older Saabs, and bought a 2000 Viggen in December - so far no problems and I ADORE this car. The only VW I ever owned as a '72 Beetle (long time ago), and I utterly loathed the thing. I parked it under trees so birds would poop on it, just so it would feel bad.
Can you tell I am biased?
