I couldn't agree more! I know what car magazine stats say, but it always seems that my '00 Viggen is quicker than most the cars out there. Sure, it's not the quickest off the line, but I love the look on the peoples' faces when I hit 3rd and blow by them. I lost count of how many Acura Type-S's, Altimas, modded Civics, etc. that I've blown by with my stock Viggen. This car is so quick from 40 to 100 mph! Sure, there's plenty of new (affordable), quick cars out there that can outrun the Viggen (WRX STi, Lancer EVO, SRT-4), but you won't catch me driving them. I just couldn't live with myself knowing that I spent $30k ($20k for the SRT-4) on a car that I couldn't even look at in my own driveway. Not to mention that I've already seen more EVO's on the road since they've been out, than I've seen other Viggens in the year-and-a-half that I've owned it. Another great part about the Viggen is that those little Sport Compact Car subscribers have no idea what it is. After you blow by them and they see you at the next light, they almost always say "What is that?" I always answer by telling them that it's a STOCK Saab Viggen. I usually break out in a sh!t-eating grin, knowing that they'll most likely go home and type in "VIGGEN" in their favorite internet search-engine.
