I opted for a proboost only because of the price. I got it on eBay for $10.00. Figured it was worth a try being it was a ball and spring design and real cheap. I think the machining of the controller is not as refined as others although I have not inspected or have any experience with the popular one here...the Dawes Device. The screw is a little tough to turn now that I have it way cranked up, BUT last night I decided to put a big allen wrench on it and found out that it still had a ways to go. When I put the thing of the road again this morning, it was like a dog off its chain so probably the BPV is the problem. The forge BPV comes tomorrow . Can't wait. I would check out the proboost just because it is cheap money with major gains. Look on eBay they are typically around 10.00. I alos gave you a link to their small website for more info on it.
Take the plunge, it is so worth it.
