Your spark plug comments, and specifically your comments about the NGK
7's:
Quote:
"The 7's were terrible all the time while the 6's seem to run slightly better."
We've got warm/hot weather here in N. America, and if anything, the NGK 7's ought to run BETTER than the 6's in HOT weather as you should be able to go deeper into the boost with the 7 (colder) plug before the Trionic detects preignition (spark knock).
Have any non-SAAB modifications have been made to this car? Air box, etc.?
If you live in temps consistently above 77F/26C you need to use premium 92/92 octane gas to prevent spark knock. Especially if your live at altitudes like Denver...
Where do you live, and what fuel do you use ?
Do you possibly have a leak in your exhaust system, in the flex pipe per se, that could cause an overly rich mixture ?
Did you change your fuel filter at 60,000 miles ? What did your mechanic say?
Just some concerns...
