TCS is generally a pain in the wet, when wheelspin is more common. With Saab's system, TCS kills the boost, leaving you without much power during situations where you might need that power. It can be turned off very easily if you want.
I believe it was standard on '01 and up 9-3's.
try a search on this BB for info on Viggen colours vs. model year. The info is slightly different for US and Canadian cars too, so be careful.
