Not only did I experience the same delay on service after having dropped the car in(2 1/2-3 1/2 days) for the tranny update and a loss of power but I was graced with the following:
Driver's window scratched with key lock box(Elite Auto Glass was kind enough to polish out the scratch for free)
They said that there was no loss of boost after diagnosing a bad turbo(this was not the problem and they not replace the turbo).
Car returned with a clunking front end.
Knowing that these guys were idots after this, I checked the car in to Gebhardt in Boulder where they found the following:
Leak in intercooloer to engine pipe causing loss of boost and power. Fixed problem and the car feels great again.
Found clunk in front end. Moron who worked on the car did not tighten the front subframe bolts so it would shift slightly during a transition from reverse to forward. They retorqued the subframe and all is fine.
This is very simple stuff and after almost 8 weeks, I have yet to make contact with the service manager at Mike Shaw to tell him how bad his service department is.
Bottom line...if you have a Viggen, take it to the boys in Boulder and request their head tech(Slavick if I remember correctly). He is a great guy, knows the car well and loves high performance Saabs!!!!!
