Perhaps it was because I sent a letter to the dealership's owner detailing THREE quality control issues I had with them and CC'd SAAB USA (a person I met at the Viggen Flight Academy who told me that if I EVER had a problem with my car or dealer to contact him directly). The guy at SAAB HQ in GA got in contact with the regional rep. and it all got settled from there. It happened fast too. I guess sometimes it does help to know someone.
Quality Control Issues:
1) Replaced top's tonneau cover under warranty but put the wrong color on. Should have been black but was a LIGHT GREY!! Didn't notice it until I got back to office b/c top was UP. Required another 40 mile RT to dealer to fix it.
2) Valet ruined a wheel with curb rash in dealer parking lot.
3) When getting #2 fixed, got call that car was ready so I went to pick it up. After getting back to office and opening trunk, noticed that jack, spare tire and tools were all over the trunk! Not put away! WTF?
They assigned me a new mech. and I think fired the clown that was working on my car. Not seen him since. Also, after each routine service visit, I get a follow up call from their Quality Control Manager just checking to see if everything went well.
They're doing their best to make up for it.
