The frequency of repair records available from Consumer Reports and other sources will give you a statistically more valid answer, but for what it is worth here is the experience of one person who has owned a 900 and a yr2000 9-3. Our 900 was a fun car, but was not anything like as reliable as the 9-3. We have 105,000 km on our almost four year old car now and we have never had a repair (except for body damage from rocks and gravel). We still have the original brake pads and clutch. We have been dutiful about following the maintenance schedule. The car has been perfect.
