I wanted to follow up with this post concerning the shop that worked on the car. In my intial post I had some uneasiness concerning the shop, which were cleared up today.
I picked up my car today from Planet Saaab, and was charged only $47 and some change for all the diagnostic work they did. I find that incredibly generous! They didn't fix the problem, but spent a fair amount of time working on the car to discover its' ailment; which I had assumed they would charge me for.
Since the car has only 32,000 miles, we both decided to pursue the dealership and Saab Cars USA to see if they can help pick up the tab on a failed hydraulic motor that powers the top.
I didn't appreciate the lack of communication over the course of 3 weeks, while they had the car, or the time frame it took them to discover the problem, but aside from that, I appreciated their attitude and their customer service.
I would definately recommend them to anyone who drives a Saab! I would also be remiss if I didn't give them the accolades they deserve to folks on this site.
