Interesting ...Acton Saab

I used to live in Acton and made one trip to Acton Saab for my old 900spg for replacement balts which I was installing. One of the techs there saw the SPG and we got talking. I let him take it for a test ride as I explained a clunk in the left rear. Upon return, he informed me that the car was overboosting and needed a new wastgate. I informed him that I had adjusted the pods in the apc box to get more boost out of the car. After his "lecture" about playing with the apc box and his years of experience as a saab tech, he urged me to replace the Wastgate actuator and told me my transmission would not last more than 20k miles with the second gear syncro that was shot. I pleasantly declined and drove the car for another 140,000 miles. Needless to say, my last trip to Acton Saab. Up the street, however, Master Technician Neal Cerinna at Yankee Garage in Merrimac, MA is amazing. Definitely find yourself a great indy mechanic. CPO puts you in a bind and don't know how far another dealership is to you, but worth their weight in gold in the long run. Best of luck.
PS: I find lack of knowledge in every dealership. This board helps your own competence to urge mechanics to do the right thing.
