No time limit.
The boost control system, or a MBC+A will sustain any given level of boost to a certain degree. But as the inter cooler gets heat soaked, you are getting hot charge air which is less dense, so you get a torque drop off. A Viggen IC will help.
As to stay on WOT, the CFM's are increasing. The compressor starts to become inefficient and pressure drops and temperatures go up.
So yes, on a 'run' the torque will drop off. More so if the octane is not sufficient and the ECU reduces boost because it anticipates knocking. The higher air intake temperatures do that.
You can do a lot to improve performance. Search deans<underscore>list on the NG900 BB.
