Saab uses several electrical connectors with a sliding lock. The connectors have two halves. One half has lugs protruding from the side of the connector housing. The other half of the connector has a red plastic slide that engages the lugs. When the slide is pushed closed it draws the two halves of the connector together and locks the assembly.
The slide can be opened by gently inserting a flat blade screw driver under the slide and GENTLY prying the slide open. Sometimes the slide can also be opened by pushing on the exposed two ends of the slide.
