Argggh...Bad week for me...
1) I hit a nasty pothole and visibly bent my front driver's side OEM Viggen rim. My 38 PSI could not save this one -- after I hit the pothole (unavoidable given traffic) I was waiting to hear a tire thunking the hole was that bad....I am not getting a shimmy and I can't believe I am not losing air.
2) Some idiot hits my Chevy Suburban sending a yellow streak of paint along the Z71 running board and pops off (and then takes with him) the running board pad ($70) and gets more yellow paint on the door handle. You can blame us SUV drivers all you want, but neither I nor my wife has ever touched another car parking my SUV and this idiot (who was likely driving a car) can't park!
3) Some idiot puts a slight crease in my rear quarter panel of the Viggen -- Only I would probably notice it, but it pisses me off.
I wonder why I bother keeping my cars nice when its so obvious that others don't care and by virtue of Murphy's Law my cars get hit despite parking miles away from others.
Thanks for listening to my rant...I needed to get that off my chest. Someday I will get to my projects on the Viggen if I don't have to buy new rims and tires. I am on the verge of selling the car for a low maintence POS like an older japanesse car and surrendering to the high cost of owning and maintaining nice cars...Is it really worth it all??
P.S. I am actually thinking of dropping the OEM Viggen rims and getting the BBS RK 2 piece rims, but they seem pricey....any suggestions or pcitures of Viggen with other rims?
