I hate it when people think that they are the most important people in the world. Your wife is alive and that is what counts. If GM no longer makes a vehicle why would they want to study it? I'm sure GM and Saab do their fair share of crash testing. Maybe if you had a new 9-3SS they would want to study that but, you can't sit here and complain about a vehicle that obviously saved the life of your wife. If you want to switch brands then go ahead but, I fully support the safety of Saab vehicles. Maybe if you get a HUMMER you would be safer, because you would not have to worry about small cars crashing into you. The only thing you'll need to worry about is another HUMMER crashing into you.
