Thats information you offered was great, the timing marks were there for all the world to see (but I sure never saw them until you pointed it out).
You mentioned that the timing marks on the camshafts tend to lean a little more to the intake as opposed to the exhaust side. Currently they are exactly opposite so it is my supposition that the timing is one tooth off. Which is causing the rough idle. When I drained the oil out of the crank case there must have been close to two quarts of antifreeze/water mixed into the oil. I drained it out for quite a while then replaced the oil filter and oil. I noticed a couple of the lifters are a little noisy (not bad, just noticable) which I expect will pump up and quiet down with some normal running of the engine. If there is any additional info that you think I might need or could use I would very much appreciate your help. This site is a fantastic resource of information, and I thank you for taking the time to help people with less knowledge than you.
Like I mentioned in my earlier post I am a professional autobody/paint specialist with 34 years full time experience. If I can help anyone with my area of expertise feel free to ask. The best site on the net by far relating to autobody and paint is http://www.autobodystore.com then go to the talk forum area. I have no connection to that site other than being a participant on the forum like everyone else.
