it can be done w/o removing the starter....
need a 24 mm (may have been a 26 mm) 12 pt deep socket (use a 12 pt so the switch wire can loop thru one of the gaps between socket and switch)
also need an air ratchet -- at least for me -- my wrists and arms can't bend like that anymore...
i put teflon (plumbers) tape on the threads but not so it wouldn't ground at the flange of the switch..
