It's very possible the heat is causing the discs to become unreadable. I've seen cases where we sent burned CD-ROMs to people and they were left in a hot car in the summer and when they tried to use them in a computer, they were unreadable (they worked before we sent them out). I suppose that quality of the discs and the writer has a lot to do with it. I recall in that case that we did some reasearch and it stated that it you're not supposed to expose the discs to temperatures above XXX degrees (to prevent damage), which is very attainable inside a parked car in the summer heat.
Do these discs work in other players?
