Hello, I just purchased a used 2002 9-3, and want to upgrade the fairly dismal stereo.

Currently I have a JVC Deck, 4 Channel Alpine Amp, and a 10" Subwoofer...

However, I'm going to look into just getting some Infinity 6.5" speakers and 6x9s for the rear, instead of utilizing the subwoofer...

My real quandry is this, however - The deck, how hard is it to put in an aftermarket deck? the auto shops I've been around to don't sound promising, citing OnStar, warning chimes, steering controls, and the info screen as being difficult to get around... Are there ways to get around these issues?..

Barring that, is there any sort of way to hook an mp3 player up to the factory deck directly, perhaps through the CD changer?

I'd love to be able to use my aftermarket deck, but if that's too much trouble...

Anywho, thanks for any assistance you can provide!
