I made the mistake of trying to close my 99 SE convertible roof this weekend with a foam crib mattress sticking out the back. It looked as though it was going to clear, however it did not and the roof started to force the mattress to bend. I immediately stopped, did not force the situation, and tried to open the top again, but whatever I did must have slightly misaligned the gears. Now when I attept to open or close the roof the cover piece that flips open hits the roof as its going down (or up) and I have to manually ease them apart in order to complete the operation. Any thoughts as to what may have happened, if this is an easy repair, or am I at the mercy of the Saab Service Commandos?
