Ah, I misunderstood your previous questions.
These both sound difficult to diagnose...could be a lot of things, and I haven't heard of many common problems. I don't know where exactly the coolant temperature is measured, but the gauge is not directly connected to the sensor. For example, it can be turned off with the "night panel" button. I assume your turbo and gas gauges are working, so the night panel button isn't malfunctioning?
Hopefully someone with a better knowledge of the wiring here can help.
