Some photos of the console: http://www.pubpedal.com/Saab93/console.htm
Thanks to both Jeremy R and 93Gator. After popping out the window
switch box, I was amazed to find that my swiss tool had managed to
fling over that far and I was able to retrieve it without removing the
whole center console.
However, now it is just bugging me that I can't take the console off.
I am starting to think that the 2000 console must be slightly different
than the 1999 because I'm just not seeing what Jeremy was referring to.
I took off the ignition cover, but there isn't any accessible screw
or bolt down there. I can't see anything when looking from the shifter
basin either. It feels like the offending bolt must be right between
the shifter basin and the ignition part of the console, and just to the
left of the ignition switch because when jostling around the console,
every other part of the console than that area will move.
If anyone has any more ideas, I'd be happy to hear them. Again, the
photos are at: http://www.pubpedal.com/Saab93/console.htm
Thanks!
Matt
