Question on Turn Signals??

On my way to work recently I have noticed a few Saabs that when they have their turn signal on, their foglight on the corresponding side is illuminated. Then turns off when the turn signal goes off. I have an '01 9-3SE and mine doesn't seem to do that. I have tried to make this happen with my light switch in both the DRL and ON positions and with my foglights off. Any thoughts??
