As to the questions in your Aaron message, your battery sounds good to me and yes, if the system that collects fuel vapors from the gas tank is plugged up and consequently you start pulling a vacuum in the tank, you could experience a loss of power just like you described. It happened to me back in a past life when I was working for my dad's moving company. One of his trucks needed a vented fuel cap (this was before evaporation systems) and somehow once ended up with a non-vented cap. It would loose power especially going up hills and then start working fine again after sitting a few minutes when air somehow managed to get back into the tank.
As to your no name message, changing the ignition cassette is easy. There are 4 bolts holding it to the top of the engine (usually torx bolts) and one electrical connection. The electric connection it is a black plug with a red locking collar. You use a small screwdriver to pry the red collar away from the black portion of the plug and the connector usually just falls off. Installation of the new one is the reverse of the above.
