The 'boost' gauge represents a continuous range from vacuum on the left, thru zero which is the place between white & yellow, & then pressure to the right. When the engine is cold it needs a little more air to keep going, so the gauge isn't pegged low.
Just to be picky, it isn't REALLY a boost gauge, it's indirectly driven by the ECU.
