Don't un-clip the grille. I'm talking about the central opening just BELOW the structural bumper. Until I go look at the car, I'm not sure if your loop of wire is for the temperature sensor. Maybe the sensor is banging around behind/under the left headlight?

The sensor kinda presses into a small hole, where it sticks thru into the air.
