I read something the other day about the futility of loading massive amounts of power into a car that is front wheel drive. Someone had made a comment about saab being smart enough to avoid costly engineering into large amounts of power since there would be no sense in doing so with all fwd cars... is that why saab doesn't even tinker with the 300 hp line?

I'm sure that is common knowledge to most of you, but I am still trying to understand exactly how and why that works. Also, what are the advantages/disadvantages to awd versus rwd? Exactly what determines how much power goes to which wheels on the 9-2x and how is awd different than 4wd?
