Well, you see, since it is such an undertaking pulling the head, oilpan and timing cover off a car, spending customers money, I have to be absolutly sure that I will find something in there that I can repair.
As I said, these engine are not really quite to begin with.
Since I can't listen to your engine I don't know how bad it sound. And it is several things that doesn't sound like a typical timing chain or balance chain problem on your description so I must leave it up to you if you want to go ahead with this.
Another thing that I always do when having the valve cover off is to use a wrench on the intake cam and give it a light tug backwards so that if the tensioner is just about to move one tooth I kind of help it along to jump over to the next tensioner level.
That will sometimes quite down a noisy timing chain.
