Bill,
I'm so sorry to hear about your problems. It sounds like you did all you could to make sure that your car was in top shape! I find it interesting that SAAB went to the trouble of sending me a Sluding Notice to say I had this coverage, even though I am second owner of my car. I have also heard that it WAS possible to prove you changed you oil with reciepts.. Argh, SAAB is becoming very disloyal to its customers. :(
I hate to be a vulture, but do you know if sludging affects the head of the car in any way? I was under the impression that this was a problem with the bottom end of the engine.. If the head is still good, I may be willing to buy it and combine with b234 block for my Viggen which now needs an engine due to non sludge related (but still not MY fault!) issues. It will help to recoup some of the cost of junking your car. Sorry again that SAAB has done so little for you.. For all their talk about replacing engines when they are flawed, SAAB sure is cheap with them!
