My 1995 900se (~145000 mi) has a similar problem. When parked in a hot enclosed space (garage) or when it's really hot outside, it stalls right after the engine starts up. The revs just drop to zero immediately. Usually this happens in the morning when it's around 75 degrees F, but the dash climate control reading tends to read around 103 degrees F when it happens. {oddly, once when I was in palm springs and the temp actually was 103 degrees the reading was correct and the car started fine - in a parking garage!} Once I get the car started after a stall (by flooring the gas while turning the key, then using the brake while keeping the rpms at 1000 with the gas pedal), the temperature on the climate control thing changes to reflect the actual temperature. I'm wondering if the two things are related. Sometimes the car starts fine and the temp reading is off, but usually not by more than +10 degrees. I took the car to my mechanic yesterday and although he couldn't replicate the stalling (it was cool outside), he found two errors: p0136 o2 sensor and some transmission error. Since then he's told me that he's going to replace the ignition and relay, but that it may not help with the stalling problem. Any ideas on what to try if it comes back and starts stalling again?
