There should be a line running from your Boost pressure control solenoid to the wastegate. The hose is probably actually marked with a "W." Make sure it is hooked up and in working order. Disconnecting this hose will make you boost very high because the wastegate is unable to let exhaust gasses bypass the impeller. In any case try not to push the needle too far into the red as long as you have this problem, because you could destroy your turbo.
