9-3 Oil pressure light flicker

Hello all. I have been experiencing the oil pressure light flicker on my 1999 9-3 SE HOT for the past few days. I had the light come on, complete with exclamation point and chime, about a week ago as I was backing into my driveway. I checked the oil level and since it was a little low, I put some oil in and it seemed to cure the problem. On Friday, I changed the oil and filter and made certain that everything was properly tightened and topped off. The car drove fine around town all weekend. Today I had a 170 mile drive to head back to school, during which everything seemed fine until the end of the trip. As I was driving through campus (hilly with a 25 mph speed limit), the oil light would flicker on after each stop sign (when the engine revs dropped slightly). I pulled over into a parking lot and checked for any oil leaks in and around the pan and filter but saw none. At this point, the light was flickering on and off while the car was at idle, but reving the engine slightly would turn the light off. I carefully drove the rest of the way to my residence and had the light come on only once (again at a stop sign). At no point did the exclamation point light come on and the chime sound. I am the third owner of the vehicle (the car has 127,000 miles on it) and have always changed the oil at 3000 miles with Castrol Syntec Blend 10W-30, following the same schedule as the previous owner. I checked the oil pan with a bent coat hangar in March of this year for sludging and found no evidence. I will be taking the car into a local shop, but was wondering what I should ask them to look at. Also, is there anything else I can check to narrow down possible causes before I take it in?
Thanks for any insight.
