The timing of the throttle and load are attempts to keep the RMPs steady, but this does create the vibrations that you are noting and that is normal. With an automatic trany, the vibrations are much worse, as can be seen if you shift out of gear to N or P. Do not worry about this.

Sludge: You need to use a full synthetic oil, the dealer is probably using a semi synthetic. You need to change every 5K, not every 10K, especially as your miles per year are low and that infers city driving and shorter runs and inadequate running at temperature to clear water vapor from the sump. The sludging is primarily a chemical change of the oil that involves time temperature and contamination. The key to avoiding this is in your hands and following the maintenance schedule in the owner's manual is not good enough.

Use Techron Concentrate every 8K or 3X/year. You need to be proactive about these things and just letting the dealer do service is not sufficient. You need to be aware of what oil is being used and be knoledgeable about oil spec's for current production, not the oil spec'd in your out of date owner's manual. The engine has not changed, but the understanding of what it needs has changed.
