After owning a '94 900SE V6, I can tell you they're really fun cars. Lots of torque always at hand, a very different experience that the turbo Saabs. unfortunately, the maintenance costs are quite high, timing belt every 30,000 miles at $600indy-$1000dealer. I also went through one transmission at 120k miles. I admit I did drive the car hard, and she handled great, but the timing belt, replaced at 120k broke at 145k about 5,000 miles before it was scheduled to be replaced. Long story short, the engine was shot and I ended up selling her to my local indy shop for parts.
On a side note, this was the first car I ever fell in love with, my parents bought it when I had my learner's permit and that started my love affair with Saabs. Since then I've had 2 9000s and just picked up a NG900 Convertible for summer driving. :D
