55's vs 50's..... You might consider a 205/55 instead of a 205/50. The 55's became the stock size around 2001-2002. The slightly taller 55's give a nicer ride. The NG900 - OG9-3 line doesn't have good compliance, that is you feel all the small road imperfections, and the 55's improve this. I've put 55's on both my 96 900SE's and it noticeably improved the ride. I suppose the 50's handle a skosh better at the limit, but I don't don't do much, or anyl for that matter, at the limit anymore and the ride improvement is noticeable all the time. The speedo error is negligible with the slightly taller tire. As most speedos are optimistic the change could actualyl make it more accurate.
You'll also find a better selection and hence better pricing on the 55's. The 205/50-16 is a rather uncommon and therefore more expensive tire.
