Well I've been having this problem for about two or three months now, it's really stressful. I've got a 1999 SAAB 9-3 base model that I purchased at 113k miles, it now has 133k miles, ever since I've had the car it's been running on a black di cassette, although I know it should be running on a red one. So I decided to purchase a red di cassette, the place I purchased it from however sent a bad one that wouldn't start in cold weather, so they sent me a new one that seemed all right at first, but when a cold day came up it also wouldn't start, both of these also misfired under normal driving conditions, not a very noticeable misfire, just a hesitation in acceleration, eventually causing the cel to come on. So I called the place up again and they informed me that they just found out they got a bad batch of di cassettes, so I was happy, thinking it wasn't my car causing the misfire, but once I finally got the third di cassette from them it also caused misfiring and triggered a cel. Whenever the black di cassette is put on the misfiring goes away along with the cel. Does anyone have any suggestions at all, anything would be helpful.
I've had one person tell me that it might be the black di cassette messed up my ecu and I should buy a new ecu, I've already tried resetting the ecu by disconnecting the battery cables.
I'm just ready for this to be over with, I would take my car to a dealer, but it's such an inconvenience because of how far away I live from a dealership.
Thanks in advance everyone.
