So you are saying that since I have 10mm of extra tread width that there is no gain in traction? Please explain!!!
Also, a 225-40 has a 3.5 in sidewall vs 3.8 in for a OEM 215-45 & will alter the odometer by 2.2% to slow. Do you think .3 inches requires one to only drive on smooth roads?
I actually stated incorrectly, my summer tires are 225-45's which are 1.4% to fast & have a 4 in sidewall.
A 40 series tire does not ride bad, I use 225-35-18's & 225-40's on my SPG & considering the springs & type of tires I use, the ride isn't bad at all :) BAck when I could switch from 15-18 in the difference was not horrible. You do feel stuff more but it does not require smooth roads only
