I am not a techie DIY, but it sounds just like a crank arm position sensor (?) Wissabi seems to have the same issue. My car did the same and through research on this forum I found out it was the CPS. It was inexpensive to have someone change it out.
It can start cold, but when warmed up, you have to wait until it cools to start again. If you want to test it, go warm your car up and run about town. When you get back see if it start. if it doesn't, open the hood, get your hose and cool the the engine compartment down. I'd wait about 15 minutes. Go and try to start it. If this works, it is the CPS. I has something to do with a switch, related to temp, that allows it to crank correctly or not. apparently the swith is in the wrong position when warm. I think it was $100 - $150 bucks at my indie.
