After looking in the BB I only saw one other mention of this but no resolution was posted. So here goes:
Driver side front turn signal (the yellow light) stays on (does not blink, but stays on in a steady fashion) when car is off and corresponding left green arrow inside dash stays on in the same manner. Battery eventually dies.
This occurs even while the turn signal is not engaged. If I do engage the turn signal (i.e. push the lever down to activate the left side turn signal) nothing happens. No clicking sounds and no blinking occurs. However, I did notice the rear driver side turn signal blinking.
Now this is where it gets even more haywire. The drivers side rear turn signal will only blink so long as there is NO turn signal bulb in the passenger side rear assembly. If BOTH rear signal bulbs are in place then no blinking will occur for either rear turn signal. If one is removed then only the other one will blink and vice versa. Maddening isn't it?
I switched the rear assemblies around to test them and both worked in the same fashion. So I KNOW the rear assemblies are fine. I also installed new yellow turn signal bulbs all around (front/rear). All fuses triple checked and all ok. Disconnected the battery to reset everything but to no avail. I examined the wires to the harnesses as best as I could and they seemed fine. Have not tried to clear the SID but will try that tomorrow.
Sorry If this seems like too much to digest!
Kind Regards,
Frank
