Peeling them off on a hot day gets most of it off. The rest you can get with your fingernails and some GooGone. It's a tedious job. Installing new tape requires that you remove the rubber window trim molding to get it right, but I suppose you could butt it up against the window trim and it may look ok. However the original adhesive strip went under the door molding. If your Saab is black, you can just remove them and leave them off. There's nice shiny black paint under there which matches the rest of your black trim.
