Hey PMI, thanks for replying! I took it for a drive today & the check engine light came on & every stoplight it revved itself - vroom vroom vroom between 1500-2000 before settling down into a completely normal idle at ~1000.
I pulled the black cover off the throttle area & found a vacuum hose that goes right into the throttle that was completely severed! I couldn't see the other end of it - went somewhere into the corner of the engine bay by the passenger dashboard & was obstructed by a couple of fatter hoses.
There was also a hose that had came off of a Y fitting - I think this is part of the oil crankcase vent - I put it back on but I haven't driven it since then.
I suppose my next course of action will be to replace the vacuum hose - anyone got any tips on that particular hose? (if you can manage to identify it from my description!) thanks again PMI for replying!
Frank
